The Custom 24 is the definitive PRS guitar. Unveiled at the 1985 NAMM Show, this stellar six-string was PRS’ very first production model and it remains their most popular instrument even today. Distinctive for its flying bird fingerboard inlays, dual humbuckers, 24 frets and ergonomic contours; the Custom 24 is considered a modern classic among guitarists.
35th Anniversary
To celebrate its 35th Anniversary, PRS has unveiled a limited edition Custom 24 model for each of its main product ranges: Core, S2 and SE. Making these stunning guitars available at every price-point, the Core 35th Anniversary Custom 24 is the premium, high-end model made at PRS' Maryland factory.
Capturing the foundational elements of the iconic Custom 24 design, the PRS 35th Anniversary also adds the musical functionality of the PRS Paul’s Guitar - creating a new, super-versatile platform!
Body & Neck
PRS' 35th Anniversary Custom 24 boasts a Mahogany body, delivering a warm sound with plenty of harmonic richness in the mid-range. Adorned with a gorgeous Figured Maple top, this instrument's beauty is guaranteed to inspire you to pick it up and play for hours on end.
Joining the body is a Mahogany neck carved to PRS' acclaimed "Pattern Regular" profile. Providing a natural and supportive feel, the neck is also topped with a silky smooth Rosewood fingerboard that offers a luxurious touch under the fingers.
Hardware & Electronics
The PRS Patented Tremolo keeps things solid, with its beautifully-machined design offering a comfy feel and a smooth vibrato arm action. At the other end of the guitar you’ll find a set of PRS Phase III Locking Tuners that'll keep your tuning super-stable, while making string changes a lot easier too.
The 35th Anniversary Custom 24 features 85/15 Treble and Bass pickups with two mini-toggle switches that allow you to put either or both pickups in humbucking or true single-coil mode. The clarity and unique tones of these vintage-inspired pickups are both big and nuanced, so that you can easily find their tonal sweet spot.
